Elk Island National Park, Edmonton

Elk Island National Park is recognized as an important area for the conservation of the American Bison. We drove 50Km eastwards from Edmonton city with the hope of seeing this huge animal. We spent more than two hours there but left without seeing any bison or other animal. It was not our day!

Bison in the Park downloaded from website.
We walked for almost two Km along well shaded trail
but saw no sign of any animal.
This is supposed to be a good place to see beavers.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed.
