Soon after checking into the Hotel in Edmonton city on 28 August 2017, we began browsing through brochures to select a place or places of interest to explore. Edmonton Corn Maze which is just 26Km away appeared to be an interesting destination. We understood that this attraction would be most suitable for families rather than seniors but decided to give it a go. In a way, we were fortunate because this is opened annually just for three months from August to October. We were in Edmonton at the right time for a visit.
With an area of 15 acres, the corn maze is huge. It takes at least half an hour for the "experts" to walk through the maze's pathways correctly. Trying to navigate 5Km of twists and turns with 85 stations of decision points is no easy task. In the end, one may end up trapped in this labyrinth for hours.
A new maze layout is designed and created every year and this makes it a challenge to both locals and foreigners to navigate through.

We knew the difficulty and spent only a very short time at the front portion. Had we attempted to go through the maze, we would likely be trapped there for a long time!

Being an attraction for families, there are playgrounds and fenced up compounds with live animals to keep the kids busy and to satisfy their curiosity.
