We were taken to an elevated passageway to have an overview of the Wailing Wall before proceeding to the actual wall itself.
At the Wailing Wall, we saw people praying in earnest and some inserting pieces of folded papers into the gaps of the wall - hoping their prayers would be answered.
Jews in their black attires, some sat beside the wall and some stood in silence facing the wall. They came to mourn and remember the destruction of their Temple and the loss of this sacred place to other people.
Many remember Psalm 79, "........... How long, O Jehovah? Will thou be angry for ever? Shall thy jealousy burn like fire?....."
