It was in June 2016 when Paul bought us the tickets to see Les Miserables at the Esplanade Theatre.
Two years later, Lion King Musical international tour came to Singapore. We were treated again by Paul to see this Musical on 16 August 2018. The show was performed at the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands.
It's been almost a quarter of a century since the original animated epic musical movie "The Lion King" by Walt Disney Pictures was released in 1994. The theme song "Circle of Life" became an instant hit and was heard being played and sang for a long long time. The movie almost had an hypnotic effect on children born in the 80"s and the 90's.
Before the show, I did wonder how these characters like Simba, Pumbaa, Timon, Zazu and so on could be created for stage performance. It did turn out well and the production team is indeed creative!
