Since our last visit in August 2002, more than fifteen years ago, a lot of improvement has been put in place at the Gap, the Natural Bridge and the Blowholes sites. To be exact, $6m has been spent to upgrade the facility. The facility includes a nice tarred car park (apparently CCTV monitored), broad decking walkway and concrete apron, and a cantilever look-out platform with security rail. The idea of building a cantilever platform over the Gap for visitors to view the chasm is commendable. This is both an awesome and adrenaline provoking experience.
It was very windy on the day we visited the place on 13 April 2018. We had to be extra careful when venturing outside the decking area for photo shoot.
There is no entrance fee to visit these attractions. Nevertheless, a parking fee of $13 is charged for every vehicle. There was no parking attendant found but a sign says that the car park is CCTV monitored. This warning is sufficient to deter any intending cheater. I diligently paid to avoid being slammed with a fine later on through the car rental company.
The Gap was so filled with wind-carried vapour that
we needed the rain coat to keep ourselves dry. |

We stood almost at the same spot
where we posed in 2002. |

Unlike 2002 when we could literally sit next to the blowholes, we couldn't do it in our recent trip because the wind was just too strong for us to safely make it to the blowholes itself.

Footpath is well maintained and there is hardly any difference compared to what we saw in year 2002. |

P/S: Just over a month after we visited the Gap, an accident occurred at the Gap when a young man fell to his death apparently while attempting to take a photo (Read here).
