Nobel Peace Price Winner 2014

I need to take a break from my blogging about travel to record a significant event of the Nobel Price Award.

This year, the Nobel Peace Price is awarded to two individuals, Malala Yousafzai of Pakistan and Kailash Satyarthi of India. Both are known for their struggles for the rights of children. Malala, the right for education and Kailash, against abuse in the form of child labour.

Even at the age of 17, Malala exhibits exceptional mental maturity and poise which  is way beyond her age.

Lately, we have heard pronouncements from individuals and groups which are totally absurd and inconsistent with progressive human values. There was even group who declared that women are un-Islamic and their mere existence is a contradiction (Read here).

Malala with her Nobel Price Winner credential serves as a torch bearer against such backwardness and negativity.
