These days, wedding banquet invitations have become less frequent. Most of our peers, including high school and university friends, have already seen their children married off - and many are now proud grandparents.
On 10 May 2025, we had the joy of attending the wedding of Jonathan and Meei Huey, a couple who had participated in the Pre-Marriage Course organized by our Church in July 2023 (Read here). During the course, we were given the opportunity to connect with them more personally, as we were assigned to spend exclusive time together at our home. This gave us a meaningful chance to walk with them through some of the questionnaires they had completed, deepening conversations about faith, communication, and their shared future.
We've known Jonathan since he was a young boy attending the Children’s Sunday School in the early 2000s. It’s truly remarkable how quickly time has passed - he’s now a tall grown man, married, and working as a medical doctor. His wife is also a medical doctor, making theirs a union of both hearts and professions.
We can only imagine the challenges they may face as they balance demanding careers with building a family. Still, we are hopeful that the lessons and values they gained from the pre-marriage course will serve as a strong foundation for their journey ahead. We wish them every happiness and blessing as they begin this new chapter together.
