The Pinnacles, Western Australia

The Pinnacles was never on my bucket list, but standing in the midst of this vast desert - dotted with thousands of otherworldly limestone formations - turned out to be a truly humbling and awe-inspiring experience.

Before the Visitor Centre was established in 2008, navigating the Pinnacles Desert might have felt like wandering through a labyrinth. With no clear paths, it could have been a daunting challenge to find your way out. But today, the experience is entirely different. With well-marked driving tracks and informative signage, exploring the area has become not only easy but thoroughly enjoyable.

We drove along the designated trail, winding through the landscape of ancient stone pillars, some towering several meters high. Convenient parking bays are spaced along the route, allowing visitors to stop, explore, and capture photographs at their own pace.

The combination of thoughtful infrastructure and natural wonder made our visit to The Pinnacles not just convenient, but truly memorable and enriching - a perfect blend of raw nature and accessible adventure.
