Ripples in Life - At Teluk Usukan Resort

It was fortunate that I finally yielded to the continuous "pleading" of the "Pengarah" to join her in her Institute's Staff Motivation Camp 2009 at the Teluk Usukan Resort. As a result, I got to see places which otherwise I won't be able to visit and see. This indeed turned out to be a new exposure at a time when my circle of friend is shrinking and my energy level is in gradual decline. When life has become a routine. There is a need to have some ripples on and off and to add bits and pieces of spices so to speak.

I finally managed to see and walk on the the jetty used by the Mamut Copper Mine company. This jetty is described by many as:  "Where the Japanese packed the copper, gold and other minerals from Sabah (Mamut Copper Mine) and shipped them to Japan in the 70's and 80's". In spite of its history, the ambience of the jetty is indeed picturesque both during the day and at the twilight.

Usukan is indeed a breath-taking beautiful place. Corals literally lined the whole bay. I wonder why my CG member, Chio Cheng Leng, a keen leisure fisherman  never mentioned about this place.

I managed to capture the moon together with four of the fence lighted bulbs.

It has been a long time since I put up full gear for a boat trip out to the sea.

After the Camp, the group had a detour to visit a knife making home-based workshop. We were told that they are now trying to standardize their making process so as to obtain SIRIM certification.

They even make Samurai sword.

Don't play play, these are lethal weapons!

The Pengarah was blessed to be presented with two knives. One from the Camp organizer and one from the workshop proprietor.
